Thank God the quarter is finally over !
No more fucking automata and complexity theory for the rest of my life!
There is no chemical substitute for motivation .
This is something important I learned during finals week. I got what I wanted (see previous entry) and spent an entire night wired, but got absolutely no studying done. Instead I furiously cleaned and decorated my room, redesigned my online gallery , searched for a new AIM buddy, played around with my Polaroid camera, and wrote e-mails. It was a productive night…in all areas EXCEPT studying. Needless to say, I did horribly on my exam the following day. There was this one question about a tree that I didn’t understand, so I just drew a picture of a tree in my answer booklet.

The noodle shop near my house closed down. : ( I’ve been eating won ton min at that shop since I was a little kid, so when my mom told me it was gone, I felt like an old friend had passed way. I have so many fond memories of that place — whenever I came back home to HK during summer/winter break, the first meal I ate was always won ton min from that shop. And the shop owner was like an uncle to me. We would always chat about school, and when I got off the bus in front of his shop, he would always wave hi. And in 8th grade I had a crush on the cook, who was about 20 at the time. For some reason I thought he looked sexy in his grimy, blood- and oil-covered uniform, wielding a butcher’s knife and chopping up char siu and roast duck. And now they’re gone…;_;
I am a pirate.
I was looking through my CD rack and realized that although I have thousands of MP3s on my computer, I only own a few non-pirated CDs, most of which I bought in middle school. They are:

Have you ever taken any drawing classes at Stanford? …that Christmas card is one of the best drawings you’ve posted around (well, at least on your website… although angelina is pretty good, too) ~ I sorta want to look into photorealistic drawings, too… instead of all this funky anime stuff, and was wondering if the drawing classes on campus are any good…
well, enjoy HK. I need to head over there sometime again… too many friends having fun overseas…

you want wired? you have to take that little pill, take a glass bottle, like a lipton iced tea bottle, or a beer bottle, and a dollar bill.
lay the dollar bill over the pill then crush the pill with the bottle. roll the bottle over the bill back and forth to make sure you crush the pill into find powder. then take a card of some sort, like a student ID perhaps, and make neat little cocaine like lines with it. then snort it. THAT is wired.
No Photography yet… but photography is simply point, shoot, click… adjust some aperture settings and voila! Drawing is much cooler =)
Looking at that picture again, that red shading is pretty awesome, too… I need to learn how to work with colors and whatnot… but I suppose there’s always photoshop too, if I don’t get it ~
still envying HK… and having a job… and no worries. darnit.
damn girl, i was just there on the 18th to check some stuff out with work and all. I WENT to ING on ladies’ night with some buds of mine, didnt see you there, i should’ve called….but i thought you wouldn’t be in HK and would be in Japan. oh well, see you when we get back to school.

It’s actually a picture that I took while I was walking…and then slipped…haha…I wasn’t really planning to stay on the ice as someone took a picture…
