Facebook has landed in Hong Kong.
I was looking at phones and came across this ad for the Nokia N81 phone. “Facebooking” is one of its selling points. I didn’t even know “facebook” could be used as a verb.

Also, I just found out that my dad uses Facebook! He’s 55+, lives in Hong Kong, and recently quit his job to go back to university to get a masters.
Dad: Have you heard of this Facebook thing?
Me: Yes. Why?
Dad: I don’t get why it’s so popular.
Me: You use it to keep track of your friends.
Dad: I know. I have an account.
Me: What?? You’re on Facebook??
Dad: Yeah. I just use it to play puzzles. People keep trying to bite me and make me a zombie. It’s stupid.
Me: I can’t believe you’re on Facebook! I’ll add you as a friend.
Dad: No, you won’t be able to find me because I don’t use my real name.
Me: ???
So my dad is a Facebook user. He doesn’t use his real name because of privacy issues, he finds app spam annoying, and he just uses it to play Scrabulous. And he refuses to friend me! :-(
