3 new drawings
February 18, 2008 9:51 pm UncategorizedWe had another group drawing session this weekend. Half the group was out of town, so it was just me and Jed. I completed 3 drawings, but I only like one of them.
This is my favorite of the three. It took about 45 minutes to complete. I tried to loosen up my drawing style and make it look more sketchy using dark, soft pencils.
I dislike this one because the outlines are too crisp and her eyes don’t match.
I really dislike this one. I sort of gave up on it halfway through.

Jess, you’re way too hard on yourself.
Those pictures are increasingly more awesome than the one before. Of course they’re in reverse order but lets not dwell on that. I’m not the emotionally supportive type so I can’t shower you with compliments but you’re easily very talented at this, also it’s not befitting of my drawing rival to be so down on yourself.
Grow some balls dammit!

Nice blog, just stumbled by.
Good job on the drawings.
Not bad. Looks a promising start. Work on blind contour drawing, that will strengthen your drawing A LOT and quickly.
